About the Course

This course provides students with an overview of the most significant developments in contemporary Ecoart and the Environmental Movement since the 1960s, and tools with which to research and decipher a wide range of visual imagery and documentation. Students will also be equipped with an informed and knowledgeable framework by which to create your own Eco Art project.

The class will cover Eco artists, art movements, writers, poets, filmmakers and the current global, national and local environmental issues through lectures, readings, guest speakers and video screenings.

Students will also be required to complete a semester long environmental art project in the media of their choice.
